Kerry Kaiser is a lover of all animals. She is a pet sitter/walker and private duty CNA. She loves being on the water, kayaking and observing the wildlife. She started rescuing in 2021 by combining her passions to rescue wildlife and cleaning the waters by becoming a mangrove monitor on Lemon Bay in Englewood, Fl. In 2023 she became a board member of Acree Animal Rescue as Treasure/Events coordinator and a year later became president and director of Skyway Team Bird Rescue Inc. to fulfill the mission of rescue and angler relations.

My lifelong love of birds evolved into a dedicated mission to protect them. After many years of raising exotic birds, I came to believe that these magnificent creatures deserve to be free in the wild. Upon moving to Florida, I discovered the devastating impact of fishing line entanglements on brown pelicans. The opportunity to rescue these birds—removing hooks and line and setting them free—felt like a perfect mission. I co-founded Skyway Team Bird Rescue with Kerry, driven by a shared vision to meet the critical need for rescue and rehabilitation on the Skyway Fishing Pier. As Vice President, I work closely with Florida anglers to teach safe fishing practices and inspire a new generation of bird lovers through my work with kids and families.

I am a retired carpenter and adventurer. After spending more than 12 years with my wife CJ refitting and sailing our 48 foot ketch in the Pacific Northwest, we have retired to Florida, where I fish and fix things, and also help the lovely Skyway Team Bird Rescue ladies in their incredible efforts.
